Located just west of Philadelphia in Main Line and Bryn Mawr, PA, our team of highly trained laser technicians including doctors are expert providers of the CO2 laser skin resurfacing and tightening system and serve patients in the greater Philadelphia area, including the Main Line, to smooth out and rejuvenate your skin efficiently.
CO2 laser skin resurfacing improves the appearance of your skin by removing damaged layers and stimulating collagen production.
Using a Deka CO2 device, the procedure targets both surface-level and deeper layers of the skin to address a wide range of concerns, from wrinkles and age spots to scars and uneven skin texture. The laser emits a focused beam of light that vaporizes damaged skin cells while promoting the growth of healthy, new skin.
This laser treatment has been known for decades for its precision and effectiveness. It delivers noticeable results with minimal discomfort. It’s considered one of the most advanced treatments available for skin rejuvenation, offering long-lasting improvements in skin tone, texture, and elasticity.
One of the main advantages of CO2 laser skin resurfacing is its ability to effectively reduce wrinkles, fine lines, and other signs of aging when regular skincare products can’t. It’s also highly effective at treating sun damage, such as age spots and uneven pigmentation, and improving skin tone and texture. By encouraging new skin growth, CO2 resurfacing can also help reduce the appearance of scars from acne, surgery, or other injuries.
The procedure stimulates collagen production, tightening the skin and providing a smoother, firmer appearance. With minimal downtime, patients experience significant improvements in their complexion without the need for invasive procedures.
Appropriate for patients of all ages who are seeking fractional CO2 laser skin resurfacing. However, many people living busy lives just don’t have the time for recovery that older CO2 lasers are known for. Many desire results without the lengthy recovery time. This is the reason why our practice offers Tetra PRO CO2 laser, boasting 40W of power and a wide range of skin resurfacing treatments, including the award-winning CoolPeel treatment. Setting itself apart, Tetra PRO is the first CO2 laser to offer Moveo, an in-motion setting, for blended areas and faster-paced treatments, thus shorter recovery time.
The Tetra PRO laser, which is well known as the “CoolPeel laser”, is the only technology that leverages the exclusive H-Pulse to deliver a fully-ablative treatment without causing thermal damage to surrounding tissue. Without thermal damage, downtime is drastically minimized. At the same time, the system delivers impressive superficial, skin-resurfacing results. CoolPeel has been recognized as the Best CO2 Laser Treatment in 2023 & 2024 by NewBeauty.
We are excited to offer the Coolpeel treatment at the lowest price in the country by highly experienced providers. Pricing for Coolpeel treatment for full face including eyelids is $450 with our medical estheticians and $750 with Dr. Laterra. We recommend two treatments spaced 4-6 weeks apart to achieve noticeable improvement and results.
The first step in the CO2 laser skin resurfacing process is to schedule a consultation with Dr. John Lee, Dr. Joseph Castelli for the Deka CO2 treatment and Dr. Robert Laterra for the Coolpeel CO2 treatment at their Bryn Mawr office near Philadelphia. During this consultation, they will conduct a thorough skin assessment to evaluate your concerns, then ask about your medical history and discuss your skincare routine, lifestyle, and/or specific issues you’d like to address. Based on this evaluation, our doctors will recommend the best treatment to suit your needs and ensure that CO2 laser resurfacing is the right treatment for you.
This consultation is the perfect time to ask questions, clarify any concerns, and set realistic expectations for your results.
Prepare for your treatment by avoiding retinols and abrasive skin treatments for a minimum 3-5 days. As a practice known for effective treatments around the eyelids area, metal eye shields are placed inside the eyes to protect the cornea while performing the CO2 treatment around the eyes- to provide the most effective non-surgical skin tightening eyelids treatment. Topical numbing cream is applied to all the treatment areas for approx. 30 minutes. A local anesthetic may be used for more sensitive areas. Once the area is numb, Dr. Lee or Dr. Castelli will use the Deka CO2 laser to target the skin’s damaged layers, carefully applying the laser in a controlled manner to minimize discomfort.
The treatment usually takes 30 minutes for just the eyelids and up to two hours for full face and neck treatment. Although you may feel warm during the procedure, the numbing agents should help keep you comfortable.
Afterward, you’ll receive post-treatment instructions to help you recover and achieve the best possible results.
Immediately following the procedure, you may experience some redness, swelling, and a sensation similar to mild sunburn, all of which are completely normal.
With the Deka CO2 treatment, over the next few days, your skin will begin to swell and turn very red and peel as the outer layers shed and healthier skin emerges. Depending on the intensity of the treatment, the healing process can take anywhere from a few days to up to two weeks. During this time, it’s important to follow post-care instructions given by our doctors, including applying prescribed ointments and avoiding sun exposure.
While some patients may see an improvement in their skin’s appearance within a week, the full effects of CO2 laser resurfacing continue to develop over the following months as collagen production increases and your skin becomes firmer and smoother.
The cost of CO2 Laser Skin Resurfacing in Bryn Mawr and Philadelphia varies depending on the strength of the treatment and the area being treated and the complexity of the procedure. For example, treatment with Dr. Lee for the lower eyelids typically costs around $1,500, while treating both the upper and lower eyelids costs $2,500- this is our most requested and popular treatment. A full face, including the eyelids (what we specialize in and are known for), and neck treatment is priced at $4,500 for one treatment and $7,500 for 2 treatments- recommended to achieve the best results spaced minimally four months apart . These prices reflect the highest and most aggressive advanced setting for the Deka CO2 device.
