Latisse is FDA-approved to make eyelashes longer, thicker and darker. This treatment is especially beneficial if you have thin, sparse eyelashes. With regular application, Latisse can give you full, glamorous eyelashes.

Latisse is the brand name of a drug formula – bimatoprost – originally used to treat glaucoma, which is sold under the brand name Lumigan. Lumigan is a prescription eyedrop medication. It became apparent that Lumigan eye drops had the effect of lengthening and thickening the eyelashes, so eventually a cosmetic form of the drug was made and sold as Latisse.

In order for Latisse to work, you need to apply it according to the instructions of our cosmetic surgeon Dr. John Lee. After about 2 to 4 months, you should notice a difference in the thickness and length of your eyelashes. You must keep using Latisse regularly for results to last; the results will begin to fade if you stop use of Latisse.

Latisse has been a great way for many of our patients to get more voluminous eyelashes. But it’s important to seek a qualified cosmetic surgeon like Dr. Lee to get a prescription for Latisse. Like any prescription drug, Latisse carries the risks of certain side effects, especially if you are not a good candidate for it or if it is applied incorrectly.
